Check Up On Your Health Goals For 2019

As we reach the halfway point in the year it is time to reevaluate our health goals for 2019. It is never too late to start living a healthy lifestyle, so why not start now? The first step is to make appointments with your doctor and dentist. Catch up with any routine screening and immunizations as well as ask your doctors any questions you might have.

Start with the basics of DIET, EXERCISE and SLEEP.

EXERCISE
Take a look at your physically activity level. Are you getting enough exercise? It is important for a healthy mind and body to get at least 30 minutes of physically exercise daily. Try to work activity into your daily routine. Enlist a friend or family member to make exercise more fun.

DIET
Eating healthy goes hand-in-hand with exercise. Aim for five to nine daily servings of varied fruits and vegetables to get the nutrients your body needs.
SLEEP
Are you getting enough sleep? The National Sleep Foundation recommends adults ages 26-64 get at least 7 hours of sleep each night to feel fully rested. Stick to a sleep schedule and power down all electronics before bed to allow your brain to rest and relax before sleep.
